  1. write from the heart, not simply stuff that it seems people would want to read, and you’ll be back in the saddle in no time. I’ve had second thoughts about my name also, my blog ended up totally different from what I first thought it would be. In the end, I don’t think people pay as much attention to that as they do to what you have to say. #anythinggoes

  2. Hi Yvette, good to link up and hear a bit about you. I agree with other people’s comments – keep the name! I was immediately drawn to it. I don’t think for a moment anyone will just expect you to be one dimensional and rant all the time, but it makes you stand out from all us bloggers with ‘mum’ in our name! Good luck with getting your mojo back and I shall look forward to reading your blogs when you do. Alison x #AnythingGoes

I love Disney as well. There’s a movie to suit everyone! I actually really like your name. It leaves you open to talk about a range of subjects. #bloggerclubuk

  4. Sorry to hear that you have lost your mojo, hopefully you’ll find it soon. And I love the name too, it make me remember you! #BloggerClubUk

You are an inspiration and I totally love your name! My blog is called Rambles, Rants, & Writings Blog. I’m tellling you this so that I can explain why it’s me: I’m either rambling on or having a good rant – plus I love to write lol. There were times when I questioned my name, but 18 months on, I love it! It’s me! I don’t think everyone will assume ranting is all you do, or consider this negatively. It can be hard to feel stuck in a rut with writing and I also went through a period of time in some of March, April and then linking into May, when I was stuck in a rut with my blogging and writing. I found that creative practice helped me in an attempt to get back to normal. #BloggerClubUK

  6. I love reading posts like this and finding out more about bloggers. I need to go and check out your blog, and read all about your customer services issues. Claire x #BloggerClubUK

  7. Oh I love the name too! Lovely to hear a little more about you. I find that some weeks when I find it harder to come up with material that I read and read and read papers, magazines other blogs, listen in on conversations in a cafe, hairdressers etc and then jot anything down that comes to mind – It’s amazing how much material is right in front of you sometimes. Hope it returns soon x #BloggerClubUK

  8. Ooh, it was the name, Ranting Gran, that made me want to look at this post. I too can be a ranting gran. There are probably a whole tribe of ranting grans ready to follow you – we could have t-shirts and everything with it on lol.
Will pop over and share a rant πŸ˜‰

I found the tribe bit interesting, I don’t think I have one either but I think I like that, I’m happy to be a butterfly and flit between tribes. #BloggerclubUK

Ohh I’ve not read Yvettes blog before but I’ll definitely be checking it out, I love the name! I don’t have a blogging tribe either, I’m not sure if you really need one to be honest.xx #BloggerClubUK

  13. Lovely to meet you Yvette! I love the name, I’ll definitely remember it. I’ve been feeling a bit meh about my blogging too lately, but I’ve come back from a bit of a break all refreshed! Need to re-evaluate those goals though now I’m in a better frame of mind. I hope your mojo finds you again soon! #bloggerclubuk

  14. Kat

I like the name and it’s clear from the way you write, that it’s a funny look at life! As a newbie to blogging, finding my tribe is definitely something I’m trying to work on. I have to admit, I started as a bit of an experiment and only expected my friends to read it! Now, it’s much bigger than I imagined, so a tribe is definitely welcomed for support and laughs! πŸ˜‰x

  15. Lovely to read a bit more about you Yvette! I love the name too – I don’t think people will assume all you do is rant and its a memorable one. A good Disney film is always a winner! I hope you get your blogging mojo back soon – I get that sometimes and it can be very frustrating. #BloggerClubUK

  19. I feel the same about my blog name as well so you’re not alone in that! As for content, just write whatever comes to your mind. I have random in my blog name for that reason because I can’t stick to just one type of post. I have to write what inspires me. My mood changes all the time too and that’s how I go with the flow of my writing. It’s great getting to know you! #bloggerclubuk

  20. Ooooh a fellow Disney fan!!! I LOVE Disney! I think we must have most of their films (past and present) and it’s great that it’s an interest that my kids can enjoy too!

Congratulations on getting your degrees too – studying as a mature student is tough going! #BloggerClubUK

  21. I think it’ a great blog name! It’s catchy & gives the reader a good idea of what to expect – a great sense of humour & lots of fun stories. It’s lovely to learn more about you, Yvette. #BloggerClubUK

  22. Mess and Merlot

    Hi Yvette,
We all love a good rant! The name is unique and memorable so I don’t think you should worry about that. I think everyone loses their mojo from time to time, I’m sure inspiration will strike when you’re least expecting it. πŸ˜ƒ #BloggerClubUK

  23. Lovely to virtually meet you! I think Ranting Gran is a fab name, it certainly has made me want to go and see what your blog is all about – everyone secretly (and probably not so secretly!) loves a good rant πŸ™‚ #bloggerclubuk

  24. Madeline

  25. An imperfect mum (Catie)

Oh please keep the name it is fabulous! So admire you for getting not one but two degrees as a mature student thats fantastic… I love finding out about other bloggers Debbie thanks!

  26. This is such a nice feature – I do so enjoy getting to know other bloggers more. I’m sure most people have name wobbles at some point, after all we live with them all the time and sometimes people miss the point or maybe the point isn’t clear anyway…regardless of that waffle (that’s clearly more about my name than yours!) I like Ranting Gran…both the name and the blog! Sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit mojo-less at the mo…hopefully by taking part in this interview you’ll have a chance to reflect and kick on! #BloggerClubUK

  27. Ranting Gran is an awesome name! I’m glad you’re not changing it! As for the lack of a blogging mojo, I think we all get it from time to time, I know I do! I find being organised is key. Get stuff written & scheduled when you do have your mojo & it takes the pressure off. It’s certainly helped me! πŸ™‚ #BloggerClubUK

  28. Good to find out about you Yvette! I really love your blog name. I think most people go through periods of losing their mojo and questioning what they are doing. I’ve had this a lot lately! I know what you mean about finding a tribe too, but I don’t think it’s something that can be forced. Look forward to reading some of your posts. #BloggerClubUK x

  29. My Petit Canard

Hello Yvette! I too am still in search of my tribe. Having to move and relocate has caused a major malfunction in my tribal instincts. Thanks Debbie for introducing Yvette to us and for hostessing #bloggerukclub
