For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I am doing the A-Z of some of my favourite Christmas decorations. I love Christmas and I’ve debated this theme before, and this year I am finally doing it.
Today is day eight where H equals hedgehog.
This cute little hedgehog sits on one of my Christmas coffee tables.

One April I crocheted a hedgehog for my blog for H day. Such cute critters.
I love hedgehogs and this guy is a sweetie. My mom created beautiful egg ornaments, jewelry boxes and stand alone scenic eggs. They were made from chicken, duck, quail, goose, emu and ostrich eggs. She used the swaratzki crys5ls( I can’t remember how to spell those crystals). I have 2 scenic chicken egg ornaments with a pretty little home nestled in the woods. She made the scenery all by hand

Hatchling?
I’ve seen ornaments made from eggshells. The MOST freaking delicate things. And they’re decorated to the nines with itty bitty scenes inside the hollowed out shell. Probably pained with a toothpick or something, I don’t know.
And they hang them on a tree! In a house with cats. 🐈
It’s freaking incredible. How they don’t get destroyed, I don’t know. How they store them year after year without damaging them, I can’t imagine.
