Today I’m sharing my goals for 2020. If you read my review of my 2019 goals, then you will know that 2019 was a bit of a hit and miss year for me goal wise. This was mostly down to my focus changing part way through the year, but I think it was also a case of having too many goals to work on and not enough time.
With that in mind, this year, I have set a slightly more manageable number of goals, and my focus this year is all about making the same amount of income in less time, and I hope these goals will push me towards achieving that.
Goals for 2020
1 Publish four new books (two novels, a short story collection and one non fiction book)
2 Create and launch two new writing courses/challenges
3 Keep blogging manageable. Unless I want my blogs to end up like ad central (which I don’t) then I have to focus more on the things that make me money. I love blogging and have no intention of giving it up, but I do need to take a step back and post a little less frequently. I will now be posting twice per week on this blog and once per week on my writing blog
4 Do more editing work for clients
5 Grow my social media followers by 25%
6 Grow my Pinterest views by 100%
7 Create at least four digital products for writers
8 Complete #NaNoWriMo
I really think these goals are manageable yet still challenging enough to keep me interested. And I am confident they will help to take me in the direction I want to go this year.

Wow! Audacious goals. You inspire me to think about what my goals for writing are. I just sort of muddle along without knowing which direction I am going.
It’s much easier to hit long term goals when you set smaller ones – it keeps you moving in the right direction
I hope you achieve all of your goals in 2020. I have done a goals list this year – and now wth this pandemic, it feels like I will probably end up writing a 6-monthly one x #AnythingGoes

I find if I don’t set goals, I just amble about aimlessly
I’m well impressed that you are going to write 4 books! I haven’t written down my goals for the year, I was more so focusing on short term goals. But I really should write some stuff down and see where it ends up. #AnythingGoes
You should definitely write down your long term goals and then you know where to focus for the short term ones 🙂
