    hmmmmmm …

    Doreen flicked her glass and glared pointedly at the host, who refilled it – for the eighth time.
    “That’s it Freddling,” she cackled. Not that she meant to but there it was cackled and she couldn’t uncackle it. “oops, the witch will out, what?!”

    The table fell silent for the first time in the three hours she had endured. “What? you think we all wear pointy hats and carry bristly brooms?”

    Doreen was fed up now. Rising, she placed her handbag on the floor by her chair and stepped into it.

    All that was left was the sound of her cackle.

    YAM xx <;~}

  2. I think y character would say a confession..mostly a love confession to her long time crush in front of the whole college and then the crush is crushing too but since my character is not popular he decides to hang out with the cheerleader character until he realizes that my character might go away with someone else 😛

  3. That’s a lovely prompt

  4. Ah! Have read about great conversations around the dinner table in so many books and of course secrets tumble out during the course of the meal too. Truly a wonderful scenario to share or spill the beans. Thanks for the prompt, Deborah!

  5. What a clever way to inject action into a plot, reveal something unknown. I’m not into prompts but I like your posts for coming up with creative plot twists.
