  1. My very first blog was on a site called Diaryland. I believe they still exist. After about four years there, I started blogging on Blogger instead, and tried putting ads and all sorts of other things on my new blog that were promised to make me some “real” money. In approximately ten years, I made about $100. Not exactly an example of getting rich quick, which of course is what everybody said would happen. I eventually took all the ads down, and don’t use my blog for anything other than my own stories and observations.

  2. I have seen and signed up for a few of those sites myself and I never saw a single penny. One survey site I spent two full days on. I had the app on my phone so I could do the surveys where ever I was but it only took more time than I had and I got nothing for it. I’m still trying to figure out how to make extra money with my writing as it has gone no where but I’ve also had bad experiences with potential clients who seem to only want me to give them free advertisement on my blog. It’s very frustrating. Thank God I have still have my day job lol
