Really wonderful advice. Just putting one foot in front of the other can really be difficult some times but it’s a shame to put the work in and then quit. I need to learn that it’s ok to ask for help and really to just keep moving forward!

  2. Fantastic advice. It really annoys me when people moan about life but don’t do anything about it. My biggest challenge is time which brings with it motivation challenges.

  3. I think sometimes we just have phases in our life when we run out of energy. And asking for help is a biggie too, isn’t it? I think it’s a shame so many bloggers live so far away from me (I’m in Cardiff) as a regular get together to swop business ideas would be fab.

  4. Kini sounds like a fantastic service. I think it is so important that we take time to reflect and to discuss with others what our hopes and dreams are. It can really help motivate us and keep us moving forward.

  5. These are perfect points, Debbie. Keeping moving forward can be tough when the set backs hit but as you said you have to push on. Asking for help is a good idea too. A lot of what you say here was very true of starting my blog so it really resonates with me! x

  6. Really useful tips, thanks for sharing! It’s the ‘Get Some Help’ I need to work on – terrible for doing everything myself #AnythingGoes

I think you’re so right. It can be easy to feel like you’re not getting anywhere and to just give up. The braver thing to do is to reassess and work out how to move things forward, positively.

  8. I think you’re absolutely spot on there; it can be so tempting to just give up when things don’t feel like they’re moving forward in the way you want them to. The braver thing to do is to reassess and move on positively to achieving your goal.

  9. Great advice! My husband is retiring out of the Army soon and is required to take classes to prepare them for when they get out. I joined him yesterday for his first class. Very informative and included these tips. Thank you for hosting. #BloggerClubUk

Really useful advice and tips in your blog. The hardest part is always getting started and believing in yourself so it’s great to have you say keep going! Thank you #BloggerClubUk

  11. I’m in a big rut when it comes to the blog and my YouTube channel as we are in the process of sorting out our imminent emigration to Portugal. I know it’s no excuse but I’m trying to juggle alot of things and keep those balls in the air that alot of times I feel like I’m failing and drowning under a never ending to-do list. Now that I’ve finished my rl job I’m hoping I can find a balance and get everything done before we move. I think I need to set some goals and work towards completing them, one at a time. #bloggerclubuk

Working out how to get there is definitely the hard part! Great advice – I know I am guilty of wanting to do everything myself. #BloggerClubUK

Hi, thanks for sharing these tips. Oh and for politely prompting me and kicking back in the right direction #bloggerclubuk

  14. Aleena Brown

Great advice! And I’m sure that a lot of bloggers, both seasoned and new, will definitely relate to this! #bloggerclubuk

I have a tendency to stay in the research stage for a long time…but it feels great to take that first step and just go for it. I mean, that’s how I ended up where I’m at now. Still have a long ways to go forward, but as long as one doesn’t give up, you are changing your own life. #bloggerclubuk

  16. I’m definitely in that rut right now – I’d love a change of career but its a huge step and there never seems to be a good time – whether financially or just having the time to pursue a change. #bloggerclubuk

i hope you made it to your new role and are enjoying it! It gets a bit more complicated as parent of a young child as factors like-how can i do it around them? I am I prepared to miss out on time with them to do it? etc crop up, but I know there’ll be time for me in the future #bloggersclubuk

  18. thishappenedtometoday (Michelle)

Really motivational words, thanks for sharing. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, that’s my problem! So in the mean time I fill my spare time with things I love like writing my blog and interacting with the blogging community. #BloggerClubUK

Great breakdown of the process, thank you! For me, getting enough rest is key; without it it’s so easy to get defeatist.

  20. I am stuck at the moving forward bit! I know what I want to do, I know how to get there but I’m struggling to find the time. I’ve never considered getting a life coach but maybe I should give it some more thought. I am sure it would be helpful for my corporate job too! Fab tips xx

  21. Susie at This Is Me Now

This is really helpful thanks, I’m thinking about getting into social media management but don’t really know where to start so know I need to do some more research first. #BloggerClubUK x
