  1. Home Alone is a Christmas classic but my all time fave is It’s A Wonderful Life – it gets me every time.
Harry Potter is an obsession all year round lol πŸ˜‰ #abitofeverything

Strangely, I’ve never seen It’s A Wonderful Life, no idea why as it’s probably the most classic Christmas film ever! Yeah, Harry Potter is watched way more often than Christmas, but it’s still something I have to watch in December πŸ™‚

I love Christmas movies. Which is so weird because I’m Jewish. I’m a big fan of the first two Home Alone movies. I think my favorite is the Muppet Christmas Carol. Or Scrooged. Good stuff πŸ™‚

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

I guess they are just feel good movies, whatever your beliefs you can enjoy a good movie πŸ™‚ I totally forgot about any of the Christmas Carol films when I wrote the post!

We like Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually, National Lampoon and any Christmas Carol films!! I like Jingle all the Way though…really fun. Thanks for sharing with #bestandworst and see you soon xx

  4. Call me predictable but I love ELF (with Will Ferrel) and it is now one that we can watch together as a family. I am also a sucker for the old black and white, “It’s a Wonderful Life”…just a bit long…AND my number one pick is always “Love Actually”!!!!

  5. Louise (Little Hearts, Big Love)

I’ve not seen Jingle All The Way so perhaps I need to rectify that! My favourite Christmas film is It’s A Wonderful Life πŸ™‚

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

It’s a good, feel good, have a giggle type movie, perfect for family night πŸ™‚ Everyone is saying that, I really need to watch it!

  6. Silly Mummy

I so agree – Christmas films are special! Home Alone is in my top three as well! I see Harry Potter as a Christmas film, too (but I like the books better!).

Love Actually and Home Alone are my two I watch EVERY year. & usually A Christmas Carol (the George C Scott one) & Santa Claus the Movie (managed to get Toddler into this one – result!) #ChristmasCorner

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks of Harry Potter as a Christmas film. I don’t mind the books but I prefer the movies (please don’t hate me lol). I think its because I watched them before reading the books. Definite result!

This is a good mix. My faves are ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, Curly Sue (a stretch but I’m having it) And The Snowman, which I don’t care for but it make my hubby well up which is cute.

  8. Good choices! Our kids can watch Elf on an endless loop but, in addition to It’s A Wonderful Life, the one film I always make a point of watching every Christmas is Die Hard. Well, it *does* take place at Christmas … πŸ™‚

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

Thank you πŸ™‚ A few people have said Die Hard, I don’t think of it as a Christmas film but most people would say that about Harry Potter! Whatever works for you πŸ™‚

  9. Agent Spitback

Oh, I love all three movies! I also love Elf, Santa Clause and Polar Express. Yep, I’ll be watching them again, just before Christmas! Thanks for sharing with #abitofeverything

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

I love Elf and Santa Clause too! I usually wait until the week before but I think I might start early this year πŸ™‚ Thanks for hosting!

  10. Emily

I do like home alone, but have to say that my top three would be, Santa Clause: The Movie, The snowman and snowdog and I’m yet to find a third! Thanks for linking up to the #BinkyLinky

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

I like Santa Clause too! Good luck finding your third, what a fab reason to binge watch a load of Christmas movies πŸ™‚ Thanks for hosting.

  11. Julie Downes

I think one of my top Christmas films would be A Christmas Carol, looking forward to getting the Christmas TV guide and circling all the good films to watch! #brilliantblogposts

What a strange concept you have about Harry Potter being a Christmas film, but now I think about it…I agree! It makes me want to get some cosy pjs on, a nice big blanket and settle down with my tree lights on. I totally agree with Home Alone, my fella is home alone mad and has been since a young child, so I have this on almost every day. My favourite is The Grinch! You just can’t beat it #XmasCorner

    • Debbie, My Random Musings

That’s exactly how I feel about Harry Potter, although I still like watching it other times too πŸ™‚ I like the Grinch too!

  13. Great choice of films. I agree with Harry a potter too. Not technically Christmassy but I think it’s the magical theme that does it for me. We watched the first one last night and I think we might end up on a roll and watching all of them by New Year.

Thank you for hosting. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.

    Dawn x
