This is a lovely post and I agree with all of it, respect and honesty and getting through the hard times as well as the good times but also the person who makes me happy ๐Ÿ™‚ #thelist

Nice Post. I have to admit, I'm dreading the question "Dad, how do you know when you've met 'the one'?" In all honesty, I don't think you do. Sure you'll get goosebumps, feel loved up and hope they are the one, but the reality is that relationships need to be worked in the event of avoiding complacency.

We are four weeks away from celebrating 13 years of marriage, but I feel this has only been possible due to the respect we have shown each other, through our marriage.

Love at first sight, is romantic and some will argue it's possible, but for me, I take marriage one day at a time and treat my wife with the respect she deserves.

    • I believe in lust at first sight, and once you grow to love someone you sometimes think you always did. I don't think you can love someone you don't actually know. I have no idea how I would explain it to a child, I think when you meet the one you just know, but that's not going to satisfy a child's curiosity. Congratulations on 13 years ๐Ÿ™‚

Fantastic post, I couldn't agree more. I'm completely lost when the Hubby goes away for the day. I don't know what to do with myself even though we spend most of the day in separate rooms!
