Great tips! I have noticed that too that I am more tempted to click posts in twitter with photos on it rather than those without. Think I will be adding pics to mine next time to gain interest. Thanks for sharing! #SundayStars

I'm going to be that person with a stupid question! I am, I'm going for it! How DO you make an image appear on a tweet? #sundaystars

    • It's not a stupid question, if you don't ask you'll never find out! When you open the box to write your tweet in, in the bottom left hand corner it says "add photo". Click there and then you just select the image you want from your computer. Be aware it uses 23 of your 140 characters, regardless of the size of the image πŸ™‚

Well, that's how crap I am at twitter – I have never looked at what is in bottom of box! Thank you! There is a good chance I will spend tomorrow annoying everyone by adding, probably entirely random & irrelevant, images to my tweets! (& I'm also back from #AnythingGoes!)

Great tips and thanks for sharing πŸ™‚ I have definitely noticed an increase in my blog traffic since my photography improved and I thought about it far more. Jess x #SundayStars

Really great tips! I tweeted this to you but my wife keeps telling me that I'll get better traffic if I used better pictures. She's a photographer and cringes every time she sees my terrible photos. #AnythingGoes

Good ideas here! I love images and am very visual as you may have noticed, however I really do struggle with Pinterest and am new to instagram. I'm ahve only just got the hang of twitter lol after all this time so I'm planning to do a little work on instagram over the next month and when I do posts on meal ideas or recipes, (which i've discovered is something i'm loving very much) I will try and create a pinterest image, although I do think I'm rubbish at pinterest lol! I have plenty of time to improve!

Great tips! I haven't paid attention to my few post that don't have any pictures on whether they are a better stats or not. I'll have to check that out! #AnythingGoes

Great tips, I agree a photo image pulls me into a blog post, but only if it's relevant or if it has text to explain the post. I hate seeing an image that doesn't relate to the post at all. Thanks for the tips and suggestions, I need to utilize images on my social media much more than I do!

    • Yes, I agree it has to have something to do with the post, not just be an image that people think will look good. If it's not relevant to the post, I think its just distracting! I've only recently started using images in my tweets and it has certainly made a difference, so worth trying πŸ™‚

I've often wondered whether having images helps. I think I need to look into using Pinterest and Instagram to promote my blog. I have to make an effort to be a bit more tech savvy!

Great tips – thanks! Instagram isn't used enough by bloggers – I'm a case in point, but I'm working on making that right! #anythinggoes

    • I've only started using it a couple of weeks ago, but it seems to be working! When you have the photo there, it only takes a couple of seconds to pop it on Instagram too. Also, its a good place to share a few personal pics if you want to so your followers get to know a bit more about you as well πŸ™‚

I completely agree that images make a big difference, my posts have been much better since I started using them. I also use pull-quotes a lot to help people scan through my posts as well… #anythinggoes

Wonderful tips Debbie, I agree that having images that stand out helps draw people to your blog – especially on social media! It's much more time consuming to twee though lol #AnythingGoes x

These are fantastic tips! Including images in your blog posts definitely takes time, but it's completely worth it! I love Pinterest, and I've been known to click on a food related pin just because the photo is so appealing! I may not even want to try the recipe, but I'm intrigued to find out how they made it! #AnythingGoes x

Great post. I got so busy reading it and then going to Pic Monkey that I had to navigate back to comment on how pertinent it is to me at the moment! Cheers πŸ™‚ #anythinggoes

Great tips- I've definitely had more traffic from Twitter since I've been adding images. I think resizing images is important too. There are a couple of blogs I avoid because I know there will be too many large photos which will take too long to load with my not very fast broadband! #anythinggoes

Good tips here. I have been trying to boost my traffic this year my second year of blogging but it's still a slow growing process. lol Twitter always helps. Thanks for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme
