There's a certain satisfaction in knowing that people are going out of their way to read my thoughts and opinions. Ego trip? I guess, maybe

I started because I wanted to get experience writing too (initially wrote writing wrong there – you'll never make it as a writer if you can't spell writing!)
The community is great – I had no idea! #happyquacks

What a fab inspirational post! I need to set some personal short term goals. This is something I've not done in a while. Blogging in really hard work. I enjoy writing in my own voice too and have learnt as you it is much better to work together and support one another.

    • Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ I find having goals gives me something to aim for and it pushes me to keep to schedule. Looking back now, I couldn't imagine blogging without feeling part of a community – its good to have a support network for if things go wrong, and to celebrate each other's successes ๐Ÿ™‚

I really agree with 4 and 5. The camaraderie of (most) bloggers is just amazing. I have made genuine friendships too through blogging which sounds a bit weird. #happyquacks

Oh my gosh, I agree with all five points & feel exactly the same way! The sense of community is something I had never imagined! Writing is cathartic & having feedback is amazing! #happyquacks

I started blogging because I was, and still am, at a career crossroads (I'm planning on writing a post about it) and since I love writing and I'm told I'm a good writer, I wanted to get a feel for the blogging world and see where it takes me. I also wanted to start somewhere small before I try to publish any of my fiction stories and thought that blogging would be an excellent way to get more writing experience and find out if this writing thing is really for me. What I didn't expect, like you, is how supportive everyone has been. I've only been blogging for three weeks now and I've got more support from total strangers than I've gotten from my own family(my ex and a couple of personal friends are the ONLY ones who have actually read my blog). It really is amazing and I love it. I am starting to feel like I'm a part of a really great community, something I never thought I'd ever feel. So thank you to all of you for being so awesome! Thanks for sharing this! Great post!!

    • Blogging is a great way to ease into the world of writing, I just didn't expect to love it so much, and I do believe a lot of that feeling comes from the community. It is amazing that people who are like blogging celebrities take time out to help out us newbies, in what other industry would you find that? Thank you so much ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep, yep, yep, agree with all of these. I've only recently started blogging and I'm so glad that I did. Wish I'd started sooner, to be honest, but never mind #happyquacks

I really couldn't have written this post better myself. Your oppinions and thoughts really echo my own, I went in to blogging because I love cooking and have a disability… hence the combination of them both. I am a stats geek and try to set myself goals too, although largely miss them, it's fun trying and the community feel is great. I've met a blogging friend from Scotland and we've become very good friends… simply through the food blogging community. I've shared with my friends on facebook in our small blogging community, thanks for posting! #BrilliantBlogPosts
