  1. Wow, congratulations.

I’ve found that I confuse some people when I say I’m a writer. Some take it too literally; I had one woman who thought I did calligraphy. Another guy thought I could design a logo for his restaurant. And so it goes…

I was draw to this post by the title, one of my favourite mottos in life, having read the book. A few years ago I was made redundant and I wrote a whole list of things I wanted to achieve. One of those was to have an article published. Bearing in mind I’d never written a thing! LOL. But now I’ve created my own blog, I realise, in a way, I AM achieving it! Well done on taking the plunge and long may you feel the fear and do it anyway! #BloggerClubUK

    • Thank you πŸ™‚ That’s exactly how I feel – excited, but a little scared as well. I think a bit of fear can be a good thing though, it keeps you focussed, and if you don’t feel any fear, it’s probably not something that’s important to you!

Exciting stuff! If I was you I’d be telling everyone from the lady at the bank to the postman that I’m a writer haha it’s an incredible achievement! #bloggerclubuk

  4. Wow congratulations, I would love to do this but like you I have a list of reasons on my head about why now is not quite the right time… and for us its probably not but one day I will take the leap! Good luck, it’s amazing that you are going to be able to do something that you love. #bloggersclubuk

  5. Oh I am thrilled for you! You’ve always been a writer in my eyes anyhow but to get an income from it is the goal isn’t it? Seriously well done lovely! I know little about ghostwriting but may have a little look xx #BloggerClubUK

  6. You’re absolutely right, you shouldn’t put things off and I’m glad you went back and saw them as excuses, not reasons. I applaud you. So many people aren’t that brave! Congratulations.

    Hi Debbie,
This is my first visit to your blog – it’s fab. And such a great first post to read! Congratulations on taking the plunge, a friend of mine is doing the same. As a new blogger, I’m also amazed at the sense of opportunity and the whole new world that has opened up.
Good luck and all the very best. ‘See’ you around a lot now I’m sure

This is fantastic! Well done! Such a brave decision to leave a steady job but if you don’t just go for it you never know what will happen. Much better to try, there is nothing worse than wondering ‘what if?’ because you didn’t try something. Good luck!

  10. Well done you! Give yourself a huge pat on the back for bravery and confidence! I felt the same when I recently told all my facbook friends about my blogging and launched my FB page. I expected laughter and bitchiness… or just nothing, I suppose and I’m terrified in making a fool of myself, but everyone has been so lovely and supportive. I think people admire your bravery and how many of them are sitting their wishing they could do the same but wouldn’t have the confidence? Well done and good luck!!

  14. Congratulations, and all the best for your new job πŸ™‚ I really envy you as this is also a dream of mine – to be called a writer – but not one I’ll achieve any time soon. I’m glad the conversation with your friend gave you the push you needed to take such a big step. Really wishing you all the success in the world xx

  21. Wow Debbie this is really amazing for you! I am so proud of you and so happy for you! Can’t wait to read the next Twisted Tales! I am also doing multiple writing projects and have recently discovered a new passion for editing but sitting down long enough to concentrate on my writing without getting distracted as much as I do has become the challenge I face right now. I wish you the best of luck! #anythinggoes

You have a new fan in me Debbie, 100%. I am in awe and I wish you nothing but the best in the future. As someone relatively new to blogging, it is so encouraging to see that what started off as a hobby can transform a life and become a profession. Amazing. Well done you.
