Blogger Spotlight: 2 Travelling Tots

1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi I’m Laura, a 32 year old…wait am I 32?! I think I am…we’ll go with that…Mummy to 2 boys Alfie & Charlie and wife to Mark an ever patient ‘Hubster’. We are loud (Daddy) we are messy (Mummy) and we do not believe in the sanctity of sleep (the boys) just an average family really. Although I suppose there is no normal or average these days…which is a good thing because who wants to be either of those anyway?!

2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?

The blog is called 2 Travelling Tots and it’s about our travels around the world, with our 2 tots in tow!

3 Why did you decide to start a blog?

Honestly when I started it, it was kind of on a whim, I thought it would be a great way to document our travels and something for the boys to look back on in years to come, a kind of diary really. I did not however think that it was going to be so addictive and that I’d actually end up actively wanting people to read it and like it and let us know their thoughts on it!

4 Do you have any goals for your blog?

Hmmm…I’m not really sure at the moment. I’m really enjoying writing it and it’s great that people have actually been reading it – I’ve currently got about 4 posts so there’s not loads to read yet! I don’t have any goals in terms of I want this many subscribers and I want to have this many followers on Twitter but it would be nice to think that people who read it find it inspiring or that it encourages them to travel more with their kids as well. Oh and we’ve been playing with the idea of trying out vlogging…not quite sure how that ones going to go…

5 Tell us one random fact about you

I HATE baked beans…with a passion…yuk!

6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?

Probably write what you know and don’t try to cater for everyone because you’ll never win that one!

7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?

Sharing our experiences with others and the sense of community there is between other bloggers out there! It’s great, I didn’t expect that but everyone has been lovely and really helpful!

8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?

Um yes I’d probably try to be a bit more prepared and organised and probably take the time to properly find out what I was getting myself in to first!

9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?

We have been travelling all over the world on a holiday basis with the boys since our eldest (who is 3) was born but as of January 2017 we have decided to make it a full time thing and treat it as more of a lifestyle…maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t…you’ll have to follow us to find out ha ha!
